Happy Holidays!
The Barbara/Jean Team
Here at Barbara/Jean, we know that holiday shopping can sometimes feel like this. We want to do everything we can to help you meet your holiday needs and leave you feeling stress-free.
That’s why we’ve developed the Barbara/Jean Gift Guide to help you figure out exactly what you need for everyone on your list! And with Black Friday just around the corner, there’s no time to waste! So we present to you our first installment: The Jet-Setter!
The Jet-Setter
Everyone knows someone like her: Always off on some fabulous adventure, enough Frequent Flyer miles to get her to the moon and back, knows how to say “Where’d you get those fabulous shoes?” in French, Spanish and Mandarin. Unsure what to get the girl who has been everywhere?
Leave it to us!
She’s wise from her many travels, but show her that you know what’s up with a warm and cozy Burberry scarf (1) in the signature check print. She’ll look chic in any international airport and it will help her stay warm on chilly flights. When she gets off the plane in Ecquador, she can stash the scarf in her Burberry nylon shopper (2), available in a range of colors and prints. With adjustable leather drawstrings and sturdy nylon, it will outlast any trip!
A seasoned jet-setter can recite the carry-on 3-1-1 rule by heart. She’ll jet through airport security with her 3.4 ounce bottle in a Tory Burch cosmetic case (3) available in lots of sizes, prints and colors! Once she’s on a roll, she shouldn’t be slowed down by a strappy, complicated shoe. This Burberry sneaker (4) slides on and off for quick trips through pesky metal detectors!
Once she’s on the plane, she’ll stay comfortable in an open-front sweater from Theory (5). And no more digging through lots of different bags and cases to find her iPod! She’ll have all the cosmetics she needs in this Collection Essentielle palette from Chanel (6). A dab of concealer and gloss and she’s ready for anything!
And there you have it! Come in to Barbara/Jean today to get everything you need for the Jet-Setter in your life!
Ronaldus Shamask, the man behind the clothing line of the same name, will be at Barbara/Jean for a very special designer appearance this Wednesday, November 18th! We are so excited to have an acclaimed, world famous designer in our store.
Ronaldus will bring his Resort 2009 and Spring/Summer 2010 collections with him for a fantastic trunk show. We will have a wine and hors d’oeuvres reception from 4-6pm and would love for you to join us!
We are SO EXCITED about the Open House tonight! So much is going on. Don’t miss out!
5pm – 7pm
Shop late at Kenneth Edwards, then view and place orders from the fall collection by Stuart Weitzman or check out the Tory Burch showcase in our contemporary department while you enjoy food and wine provided by Graffiti’s restaurant! Then at 6pm, stick around for a fashion show featuring the fall collection from Lafayette 148 New York with model hairstyles by High Maintanence Salon!
After the show, special order any of the looks that were featured in your size and color preferences. We’ll have a drawing at the end of the night for prizes from Barbara/Jean, High Maintenance and Kenneth Edwards! You’ll want to stay all night!
Everyone at Barbara/Jean is so excited that our favorite shoe sales lady, LeeAnn, is getting married! She’ll be swept away for her Hawaiian wedding very soon, but before she left, we gave her a wedding shower in true Barbara/Jean fashion.

The whole gang was there!

She said, "Oh, Gary was saying how much he needed an oven mitt!" Now we know who does all the cooking...

From everyone: a pretty frame for her favorite wedding picture!

Bridget gave LeeAnn some words to live by!

Glenda, LeeAnn, Greer and Christine
Barbara Jean was so lucky to be featured in…well, Lucky Magazine! In the February issue, Camilla Belle was photographed wearing a beautiful dress by Disaya. A big thanks to Disaya for giving lil’ ole Barbara Jean the credit!

Love what you see? We currently have the same dress in navy and black as well as more adorable, affordable looks from Disaya! Take a cue from Camilla’s book and come in TODAY!

We’ve got an exciting week of trunk shows going on in our Contemporary Salon this week! We’ll start the week off with the Spring collection from Pink Tartan, a pretty, polished and elegant line from Canada. Don’t miss this trunk show Tuesday & Wednesday, January 6th and 7th!

Following Pink Tartan, we will have Spring trunk shows from Milly and Beth Bowley, beginning Thursday, January 8th through January 10th.
Milly, Michelle Smith’s line based out of New York City, combines beautiful fabrics and sleek silhouettes with a timeless, vintage feel to create clothing for the smart, confident, fashion-forward woman.
Her Spring collection does not disappoint. With flirty dresses and sophisticated seperates in bright colors and flowing prints, you’ll want a little bit of everything!

And last but not least, we are excited to welcome Beth Bowley for what hopes to be another beautiful collection! Beth Bowley always delivers with wearable, romantic pieces and this Spring is no different.
Her Spring collection features tropical prints, bright colors, dresses and seperates so that no woman goes ignored!

And be sure to check out our segment on Good Morning Arkansas this Friday, January 9th at 9:00 am. We’ll be showcasing some of our favorite looks from the Milly and Beth Bowley trunk shows and talking about what to expect from Spring fashion! See you then!
